Thanks for all of the great replies! Relevancy is SO important as well as quality content, but they kind of go hand and hand. If your content isnt relevant it really doesnt have much quality.

 

Google themselves state that relevant AND quality backlinks will add value to your site in their eyes. Lots of people think they can get just a lot of backlinks and everything will be cool but its far better to have fewer backlinks that are relevant and quality than hundreds of links that arent even relevant to your sites subject matter.

I feel relevancy and consistency is of prime importance. Originality though very important, I am doubtful about how many percentage people here are putting up original thing? very rare , atl least i feel so.
