I notice that Jon released a 3 way link exchange service, seems good: http://3waylinks.net/ But I wonder will Google ban you or put you into Google sandbox if you use service like this? Especially when more and more people use this to develope links.
Yes, they would. It's a blatant attempt to subvert the Google algorithm! As is submitting to directories Google will have to detect it first before they can do something about it though. I wonder if they could just check who's registered with 3waylinks.net?
While google fights paid links for quite a long time but sites like text-link-ads are still hot. I guess maybe because it is impossible for Google to detect which sites buy links via text-link-ads. So how about 3waylinks? Hard to say.
There's risk in everything as nobody really knows how google thinks. I've been a beta tester and I can tell you that a lot of work has gone into making this as footprint free as possible, so google will have to be extremely clever to even notice. I would consider this to be considerably safer than most link exchange networks, it's in a completely different league!
guys, please get rid of this fear already! if you have good content on your site, google will never ban you. it needs you, it needs you to serve better results to the people and to show more adsense ads and make more money..
Maybe that's what John Chow thought, but he got banned If it looks like manipulation there's always risk but submitting to directories, reciprocal links, blog comment spamming, forum signtures, social bookmark posting are also forms of manipulation but those links are devalued, the sites are not banned. And that's probably the worst that will happen to three way links, but that's just my opinion. If you're not comfortable with the risk then don't do it.
I am sure John's service is good, I just wonder about paying for backlinks month after month and I assume once you stop paying the links are gone from the system. I do believe that this sort of system works, as I have used something similar in the past and I hear that John's system is very well put together. I stopped using the other service as I just got so tired of paying out month after month. However if you can spend $47 a month and the links help drive your site to the top of Google and that brings you more than the $47 in sales every month then you are in profit. It is all about return on investment, oh and Lily is right, fear stops people doing so much online. Do a small scale test of the service if you are nervous, and when it is proved to work then dive right into it. Paul
exactly! personally, i couldn't care less.. if one site gets banned, just move on to the second.. it's well worth the risk, if there is one! i'd rather prefer being on page 1 for one month and make a few hundreds or maybe even thousands, and get banned than being on the 10xxxxx!! page for ages and making nothing! yes, they are.. pm me for a special offer..
I think to be completely secured and not to be banned from Google, we need manually make 3 way linking campaign. That is why I'm offering 3 way link exchange with web design related website. I think a bit of fear is a healthy thing as far as google is concerned. All risks should be carefully considered, but as qazu said so well, this type of link may one day be devalued, but it's unlikely to get you banned.
OK, I can exchange links through my site - http://infinitelycrazy.blogspot.com/ - it is PR4 PM me if u agree
Here's what quite a few marketers/webmasters do to get around the three way/reciprocal linking issue that offends Google. I'm sure many of you have sent or received a similar message (I just received it today).
it's actually not that complicated for google to spot 3-way link exchanges- they have such a huge computing power, they can find it. i guess 5 way and up gets much higher in complexity. it's just a matter of time until someone does it. that takes me to the other thing- link co-ops, which in some ways are similar to the 3way- and (in most cases) the co-ops are not that successful.
If you base your link trades on relevancy, it shouldn't matter what kind of link trades you are doing. Releveant link trades are good for the user and good for the interent. With LavaLinx you can do reciprocal, triangle and parallel link trades, and manage those links. With a parallel link trade both webmasters get a one way link and the only relationship that exists is behind a login in LavaLinx.
I am sure he has done a good job. Atleast someone came in front and tried on these lines. I will definitely test his system and see how it goes for my site. This is better than reciprocal link exchange by a mile.
