3 Twitter followers in 5 minutes

    I hardly get followers. but i made 2 updates on twitter (one about seo and other about domain name) and i got 3 followers in the next 5-10 mins.

    What is that supposed to mean?

    The more you update and more followers you get ?

    Any help would be appreciated - Sorry new to twittering....

    if you post a couple ,of things about seo and do nothing else, you will be mown down in the rush of people who sell 'seo services' and monitor every mention of it, following you in the hope of you following them back.

    I think it's like this:

    In general, the more you post, the more followers you'll get.

    The more you post about popular topics/keywords, the more followers you'll get.

    The reason for this is that a lot of people are using twitter search to follow certain topics, and with software like TweetDeck you can subscribe to keywords, and receive every update on twitter about the topic of your interest.
