3 sites with adsense and yet not even breaking a dollar a day.

possible causes, from MY point of view:
- boring content, that makes user exit the page quickly
- too many ads, which make the user run away
- unclear navigation, which makes the user don't know what to click, and where he should get by clicking that
- wrong targeted users

 

Boring? Ya and I get all excited I wet myself when I download a PDF Converter.

 

Heh heh. But seriously, sites like yours basically lives and dies by word of mouth. Someone links to you, someone else spreads it around, a big site links, etc.

 

Ya It's hard to find other Humor sites to trade with on dp forums.

And all the other humor sites never respond when I email for an exchange.

i just saw www.UploadStand.com and all I see is Mesothelioma and Asbestos ads...that are high-paying though pretty irrelevant ads!
I wondered why were u getting these ads and then checked the code

I don't recommend this. You won't have any traffic/clicks at all when your site is banned.

 

I see he removed the hidden code... unfortunately the damage is done, the ads are still showing

An SEO guy I know once told me that hidden text actually hurts your search engine rankings... that could be another factor in the poor performance.

 

he's right. doing that can even get you banned from SEs.

 

You need to have traffic to generate revenue ... and also some patience.

I'm not looking to be rude here, but I actually clicked that link before reading your post. Looks good to me .

Anyway, about your site:
- The layout looks like it was made by a child (trust me, I'm a child, thats the kind of thing I would make.) It needs to be clean and easy to navigate.
- The colors. This is to-do with the layout, but I don't want to be browsing around a blue site. It looks confusing, and when I clicked the link to your site I stayed there for 20 seconds, not clicking a single link on the navigation menu. When someone normally posts their site here, I have a good look around, but with yours, I feel no reason to stay.

If I were you, I would really think about why you own the site again. Are you there to try and get $1/day from a site, doing everything you can to violate the T&C of Adsense, in a desperate attempt to get a $100 cheque before they find you out. If you want to break their T&C, just click your own ad's. It will get you banned but you will have the satisfaction of getting over $1/day just before you get that dreaded email.

Now this is what I would do: Look at the perfect site, that you would like your site to someday look like. Since you seem to be driven by money, let's look at it this way. Do you think they get all that money from ads (which you seem to desperatly want) from breaking T&C and trying as much as they can to focus on ad's. Why do people click the ad's anyway? Because they have lots of content, and many many features. That's why the get hits, returning visitors, advert clicks and lots of money.

To be honest, If I owned that site, I would take all the ad's off. They are just a distraction. Not for visitors, but for you. You should reorganise your site and get it very popular, and then think, Ok, let's put some ad's on and make some money now.

Fine, forget about how old you are but read the lower part of my advice. Seriously, think about building your content etc before focusing on ad's. And yes, I could make a layout like that. But I'm not 10.

By the way, when I said that, I was talking about the site that was all blue. And it turns out that I was pretty accurate when I said it was made by a child? I had no way of knowing that other than what I saw on the Homepage. And if I can make that judgement, so can your visitors.

 

Just under the GI JOE Pork Sandwhich (Sandwich?), stick a google ad and remove the others.

Put some links in the top left hand corner and a small link unit under Main Content Area.

By the way, nice job on the link units that you have at the footer, you are on to something there! Place an image above the Ad By Google.

Remove the other ads, it's not worth having someone report you on this.

Do these items and I'm guessing your income will increase

What's wrong with a blue site? Or the yellow one? I just have no interest in the theme, but otherwise the layout is original and exactly cool enough for such a topic. And I'm sure anyone who goes there for the content won't care, and will probably dig, the color scheme.
