I have started an online Digital Marketing resource called Simply Digital Marketing. It is aimed at academics and professionals. I have centered it around 3 core principles: Be Found Be Clear Be Memorable Not 1 of the 3 is more important than the others, nor is there any particular order; be found and be clear fall into the chicken or the egg scenario, which one comes first? My view is that the main core of your web site, messaging and collateral should all be in place before you hit full power on being found; it doesn’t have to be perfect and as long as you are clear, it can evolve over time. One thing does come first though and that is, it all starts with understanding your market and target audience. Each principle is further broken down into subjects e.g SEO, VSEO, Brand etc In practice there are cross over’s between them, for example Social Media would come up in all three principles, but it primarily sits in ‘be found’; you would use these 3 core principles with flexibility, to form a strong foundation for your understanding of Digital Marketing and how to succeed in it. I am looking for feedback, what do you guys think? Thanks in advance.
Actually those are the three key things. Once yu are found you have a chance of presenting your self and what you do. You must then oique the persons interest with something memorable for them to continue reading or at least come back for more. It is alyway best to be clear cause many times I click a promissing link only to find the content quite different. Very fustrating
That's good to hear. I agree about the landing page content needing to be the same as the advert it's self; I will instantly move on if it isn't consistent. Thanks for your input
Awesome principles. These 3 key focused are right on in getting your targeted audience. You should try giving example of how to utilize each key in further details in your next post.
Thanks guys; Good shout on the examples Justin, I will look at that. Herrysmart, what other principles do you consider in your digital marketing strategy?
