3 months and only 16$?

Hi guys!
For about 3 months, December, February and Marth i am user of adsense and i only have 16$ with 40 000 impressions and 140 clicks.
How can i improve my earnings?

I dont want to put ads inside posts...? maybe between first and second post?
What do YOU think?

It could help. I would also add a link unit somewhere above the fold.

 

Try different things out try in between post if that doesn't work you can try them within the first post. Just try different things until you find something that works.

 

Test different positions. Don not test different things at the same time. Test variables that you can check on later.
Your forum is a new forum (around for little more than 6 months) and most of new websites struggles to get good income from Adsense.
I'd try some affiliate, Mobile is a rich niche for affiliate.
Try some clickbank, or clisgalore.

Your ad placement seems quite alright but experiment with the colors. Try to make that ad right in the center blend in with the theme of the site.

Also remember that forums don't make that much with adsense. That's just something forum webmasters had to live with forever.

Listen to the guys above, experiment with the ads till your brains hurt and your eyes throb.

You can set your adsense like dp.

 

there are some good tips above. one thing i like to ad is that forums usually have low CTR therefore you need massive traffic to make some

 

Don't make the top ad so colorful.
You can make the top ad somewhat below.
Try blue links and make the url of the ad hard to see(blend with surr).
I would recommend skyscrapers on the top leftside.

 

I feel you man. Try to optimize your ads, but it won't help that much increase your earnings. Try adding some more monetization options, like CPM, adbrite or private ad sales. I'd also concentrate on increasing my traffic to about 100k/mo.

 

How about adding a link unit after the first post, like its here in DP?

I also, remember that DP ads look much different when you're not logged in. I don't remember how though, as FF automatically logs me in

 

To be honest, it is harder to earn with Adsense in forum sites than in normal websites.

 

Forum visitors are regular visitors who become ad blind after the first couple of visits. For example, I never see or notice the DP ads, and never click.
