Sorry, but did you actually watch/listen to the video? the narrator mentions the affiliate program and 100% commissions!

This is very similar to the videos doing the rounds before the launch of stompernet, and IMHO it is just a sales pitch, but I wish him luck.

I meant I did not join any affiliate program to promote his site. Ahh..what the heck..I'll just keep these kind of videos to myself next time.

Actually I found it a bit spammy too, BUT... it gave me a (nice? hope so...) idea!

It is true that:
- you should test various combinations of colors/borders on your ads to check which one works best
- it's a nightmare to change that by hand and doing it on a day to day basis might lead to incorrect results

So....

With a bit of PHP it's easy to do it in an automatic and correct way. This is how it can be done:
- you create one channel for each color combination
- with a PHP script at the top of all your pages you randomly choose the channel and the color combination
- in the AdSense block you then put some PHP variables where the channel and colors are shown

Et voilà! You will have your channels/color combinations rotated randomly, and after a week or so you will know which ones perform best.

What do you think about this? I think I'm off to implement this in my websites!
