Are 3 keyword domains a good investment?

I'm looking into purchasing some 3 keyword domains and already have a few in mind.

The thing you really need to figure is that are people looking for those keywords and if so then go for it. If not forget it.

I have a couple of three words, and they really do help in the serp's if they are all relevant, and people are actually looking for them. If the keywords aren't related, don't do it.

Just pointing out the obvious - there are only a limited number of domain names. As long as the internet keeps growing, 3 letter domains can only become more valuable.

I'm confused, do you mean 3 letters, or 3 keywords??

the first domain is good, the 2nd is worthless because it has 2 dashes.

nope... second is better ;) because SEO understands better domain names that use hyphens ;) bluewidgetdiscount will be harder to brake into pieces.

Any reference to verify this, I am keen to know more. So far imho 2 dashes is still more readable and even easy for search engine to match keywords and index. But as i said, that's my (may be flawed) opinion. appreciate if someone could throw more light on this topic.

    Cheers
