    Could be yes, atleast i saw many people who "lost" PR instead of improving it (me included).

    Yes, i totally hope so because many people lost her PR due that, i tell you one company which has pr1 and its his business site and his site in on no 3-4 rank in seo but now after pr update it has pr1, so i hope you are right....

    From what I've been reading it's completely related. Those that have pretty strong authority sites have maintained PR and rankings, those that haven't have seen the effects...

    We cannot say that Google will update the penalise websites for page rank update. It may be happened.
