what can I say, Im impresssed I just want to know what can I do when I need to update my sales thread - because I can't edit the latest - and it's normal to post another message.... but you consider it bump... figure a way to let me update my thread then before giving me infractions, ok? thanks
Then I will be glad to share 2 of them with you and I will keep one for myself here is what DP administrators should do: if author posts a reply to his thread before thread is 24 hours old the message will automatically merge into the first one if author posts a reply after 24 hours and nobody else posted before this is called thread bump if author posts a reply and someone else posted before this is ok BTW namepros allows posts merge - but DP does not - so when DP will allow that I agree to receive infraction for thread bumping anyway I hope you will remove my latest 2 infractions which are unfair thank you in advance
Talk about post merge, i think that's bad... If someone can edit his orginal post, he can add/remove whatever he wanted..which could be confusing during an auction
My suggestion will be donnt worry about infraction at all. The more you worry about it, more you will get. I am telling it by my experiance. Yah definately what seems to be alright to you may not be liked by others. So only solution is that from your end follow as much guidelines as you can while posting, rest donnt worry about anything.
You can edit your posts up to three hours after the fact. Keep that in mind when making that post - think about it carefully, knowing you don't have unlimited editing facilities. If your first post is concise, you shouldn't need to edit it. If you can demonstrate in your 'bump' that something significant has changed which was unavoidable and of utmost importance to potential buyers, then I'm sure you'll just get away with a warning.
Also, if it truly isn't about bumping but about updating, include an image with the dynamic info. Every time it changes (like going from 3 left to 1 left) you can just edit the image on your own server.
I set a bin here after thread was older than 3 hrs - but I had to post the bin, right? even if it was after 1 day or so... http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?p=1088071#post1088071 you could take at least one infraction out or whatever... I just dont care anymore may I post a reply to the user's bid or will I get another infraction?
You should have your BIN in mind (if you are going to offer one) before you start the thread. Otherwise, wait until someone asks for one. To be honest, that auction is very confusing anyway as you state you won't sell it if the reserve isn't met yet you haven't set a reserve. I think you will get more money and attract more bidders if you are more organized right from the start.
You can reply to a bidder's post - that's fine. Though some people don't appreciate just 'thanks for the bid'. Up to you, it's not a 'bump'.
Sorry for wasting your time You asked: And we (Tops and I) gave suggestions...Sorry answering you made it useless. Per your request, I won't post anymore suggestions
shall I give the bidder flowers too? oh boy... next time I will give money to anyone who replies so everyone can be happy thanks for the red too - now please close this thread.
