My blog articles2u.com get 3 penalty within one month. Blog get 1st penalty on 6th may and removed it 15th may, 2nd penalty start on 19 May and removed on 21st. I start to get good google traffic to my blog (avg 400) But 30th may my blog penalized by google once again and not removed. why? My google traffic less than 20. why? Now i add noindex, follow meta tag to author page, date page and tag page. It is chance to duplicate content penalty. Please give me idea to remove my penalty within one weak.
You did not get 3 penalties within a month. Rankings go up and down. Keep building quality backlinks from relevant sites.
What about duplicate content penalty? If your site is a article directory, then it means that there will be many articles in your site which were already posted in other article directories. Thus a duplicate content penalty can be a possibility.
Don't worry, google still updating their data center maybe, What happened to you like the same with me, my website the visitor dropped about one weeeks ago, and up again. other case, check your google webmaster maybe something wrong in your website like robots.txt, sitemap or 404 errors.
HOw do you know when you have a google penalty? I think a lot of the times google is just updating their indices and take certain sites out for a while to move them around. I have been disappearing and reappearing in the results at number 3, 8, and 13 and now I settled at 2.
I am wondering the same. What makes him so sure that these were penalties and not regular serp dance? If you have been loosing traffic on and off, then your serp position is surely very unstable and that could be due to variety of reasons, primary being the niche might be very competitive! Regards, RightMan
I am wondering the same here. SERP’s Change, being a webmaster is a fulltime job and then some. Remember the cycles of Google. Dropping in serp doesn’t mean you are penalized maybe other sites added more unique content and other site are getting more traffic and have built more inbound links. Being proactive instead of reactive will help you stay on top. Time will give you more consistency in listings.
I have a site and with one particular search term I am all over the place in results day to day. It happens.
I get around 400 traffic from google, now only 20. How many days required for getting traffic from google.
From the time you launch your site, oh,,,,,,, its only going to be about 6 months before you get any kind of ranking for certain search terms. And then, its going to be 8 months - 1 year before you get a steady ranking. And then it might be 2 - 3 years before traffic "really" starts to take off. Building a website is going to take time, lots and lots of time. If you "really" received a penalty from google, your traffic would be more like 0.
I've gotten dinged twice. Last time I just added a two word phrase twice to my page. Guess I was pushing it too hard already. Went from 1st or 2nd page results to 9th to 11th page results. Fixed the page, updated my sitemap and did a "request reconsideration". All was back to normal in about a week.
Hello, I think, isn't a penality, it's only ranking A ranking change every day, quickly, if your website is young, it can move quickly
Your site probably experiencing some google dancing, did you investigate your traffic statistics like keywords the searchers used to see your site? If you see you are being outranked by other sites, you need strong backlinks to let bots index your site more often. Also avoid those duplicate contents, for surely your site will be ignored by bots.
Forums often contain pages with very little unique content - if you have a control over it - just start really interesting threads in your forum, mate...
