say i have a well developed site and 3 domains. is it negative to point all to one site or have landing pages?
Useless, once your 301 redirect all the value will be passed on. Plus, you shouldn't make three sites about 1 subject or niche, concentrate on one.
Precisely. Either redirect the other domains to the actual site, or change your DNS settings on the other domains to redirect them to the primary domain.
Dan has given you the correct answer but let me reword it just a little. Pick the primary domain and use that then "park" the other two on top of that one and 301 (permanent) redirect them to the primary. I think that explanation might be a little simpler for you to accomplish since cPanel offers all those features.
i sort of understand... so www.domain1.com is the main site ... then www.domain2.com is parked onto domain1
and the most important part! Domain2.com is 301 redirected to Domain1.com. That makes it clear to the SE that you are not publishing duplicate content.
Regardless if you 301 redirect or not if the domains don't recieve type-in traffic or have backlinks producing traffic and link juice whats the point anyways?
You are ok if you 301 redirect. You are doing this because you have same domain name with different extensions ? for example yoursite.com yoursite.net etc?
i have two domain that are same name but one is .com and other is .co.uk als have two more domains that get type in traffic that i need to go to the other domain
