for weeks I was only getting 1 cent a click contacted google and complained they just told me these where the rates of the time (bull) so I started to put in ads from different affiliate site and look 59 cent for 3 clicks wounder if they see this as competition and rase the price per click what you think is it?
That's not how it works. G doesn't control the prices. I'll explain it with examples. Advertisors determine what they want to pay per click. Some of the revenuegoes to you, and some to Google for each click. This is why the rates vary. For the competition, you're half right, but for the wrong reasons. Something like a health niche, which hospitals/medicine/etc would be very high, so advertisors make their ad click payouts very high, to stand the competition. This is why a health click could pay $10 where a game site click would pay $.25. A health site that gets you to buy something for $300 is happy to give away the $10 for the click. And I believe you're in violation with Google TOS if you're putting other affiliates on AdSense monetized pages, though don't quote me on that.
As long as they ain't contextually-based I believe you're fine...Amazon goes in concert with Adsense quite well and is within TOS.
I know thats what its just that it all happend around the same time I put in the extra ads. rules of not having other ads on your site is crap in every sence they have pub codes to monitor clicks would they ban me for having ads from this other site? its a static ad but I am also using adbrite ads
Your best option is to figure out who is paying very little for clicks and use the competitive ad filter to prevent cheap skates from advertising on your site or forum. It is what I did. I hate people who target my forum on purpose only to pay out cheap rates. Screw that!
Google doesnt have any control over the prices.. ad keywords, locations it's showing, how many bids on that keyword, and the ctr of the 1st ad are all factors that affect the price. G would love to make $3 a click and give $1.5
Yes if your website content contains highly sought-after keywords for advertisers, then each click will recieve more $. So if your website is about SEO, Health&Fitness, or such things you will recieve more per Ad than a site about 1950's Beard Construction Techniques.
mine site's seeing dropping of pay per click these days. today up to now got 7 clicks, only 0.66 earned.. much lower than the last week
This may seem like a stupid question but how do i find out whos advertising on my site? I hit 3$ in 12 clicks yesterday and today i've hit 0.12$ with 8 clicks which is very low xD I would love knock the low paying ads out of the equation so if anyone has any ideas please let me know Regards StevieBoy.
First of all: these days you can combine adsense with any advertising you want -as long as it doesn't look the same. So there is no problem with combining adsense and affiliates. Second: filtering out low paying ads just means you've got less competition for the adspace on your site. It's more effective to limit the amount of adspace (say one block), so that the advertisers that do get on are the ones that bid the highest.
It varies, I bet nearer the winter when more people are online, and there are more advertisers paying out the $$ for Christmas you earnings will go up. It varies so much you need to look at the bigger picture, a couple of months. Looking on a day by day basis is to small and you probably never get your true earnings.
