I have been using adsense on my blogspot blog for the past 3 months and most clicks im getting 3 cents, even less sometimes. is it normal - if not what could be causing this.and how to increase revenues from clicks.
It really depends on the content as this is market driven as far as pricing. You can assume higher bid topics, but there really isn't anything set in stone as the numbers change as advertiser levels and interest change so dynamically. good luck!
the payouts have gone down the tube from what I have seen. I am finding that more can be made if I sell of my own advertising space rather than going with google. YPN is paying nice, but it takes so long to get approved by them AND you still have no control. If they say you violated some TOS of their and close your account or take all your earnings, you are stuck with that and can not fight it really. I still have adsense and ypn on a few sites, but only cause I am too busy to make the changes right now...soon they will be coming off.
Well depends on the keywords on the site... example the adword campagins i run i pay .05 cents a click... :/
I see a day when google, from the pressure of advertisers, either drop adsense or change the rules to only sites with major traffic. I have seen lots of webmasters pull adsense off their sites because of low revenue. Why I say, besides adsense, have other venues of generating income. Affiliate programs, etc. Myself, would rather sell one affilated product and make $25 on the sale, as have 500 people clicking on adsense ads for less. Make that, would rather have BOTH! Yes. One of my sites gets .09-cents a click. Not exactly gangbusters, but you probably have a site with low-paying keyword as well. What my site lacks in high paying keyword, it makes up in bulk. On the flipside, one of my other site makes up in bulk with high paying keywords. So yes, it's not just normal, it's how Adsense works.
not really my average is 30 times higher You need to use some good keywords which pay more than 3 cents
$0.03 is quite normal. I guess the aim is to get more traffic hence more impressions. Once in a while, you do get like $1 per click which will bump up for income. This is from my own experience.
I don't see anything wrong with 3 cent clicks, it's money anyway. It mostly depends of the content you have on your page, but I have idea that Google serves most off the good paying ads to sites with high traffic - lot of traffic, lot of clicks, you know.
