Thanks a lot for sharing this. I will reg few domains that I was holding back.

Along with this you can also avail following:

Register or Transfer three domain names and get FREE PRIVACY
on every domain you register as of the time of this post.
    https://www.godaddy.com/gdshop/dbp/landing.asp?ci=257

PS: This works with domain transfer also.

bentong you deserve some green for sure:D

godaddy is not the best registrar. they suspended my domain for spam and asked for $199 without any evidence of me spamming.
Once I paid, they released it within minutes.
Nasty way to monetize your abuse department.

I see that it is $1.99 now. Just to clarify before I buy dozens of domains.
Do I have to purchase the Online File Folder package, which is $4.95 per year?
Then I can add unlimited new domains for $1.99 each?
Can I transfer out the domains?(should have post this to Godaddy sales :0 )

Found the catch(as for me). You are only entitled to one $1.99 domain for every new File Folder Plan. I knew goDaddy wouldn't be so generous.

If you don't have TDNAM, then you can atleast buy one domain at $6.19:

    1. Select domain and go to checkout
    2. Signup with TDNAM
    3. apply the code ben

Also you can use code "goox3004at" to save $2.00 on a .COM (it was working till two days back)

    LOL

I dont think so, ben is one of the most common used $1 discount code at godaddy like the earlier code david, candy, usa1, usa6 etc. This is merely a coincident.

Godaddy is probobly the worst domain companies to buy from.

After their recent downtime, I can't see how anyone would want to deal with them. Is it really worth saving less than $10, and possibly losing a whole days worth of revinue because they don't know how to run their servers?

Deal with namecheap.com (if you run a smaller website) or register.com (If you are running a corporate website) if you want to purchase from a professional company.
