Yeah but the 3k mark arriving on New Years Eve mate. :(

I feel for all the wives, families and children of those killed knowing that they were forced into an illegal bullshit war by inept wankers hell bent on ruining the world.

And let us remember their families. Despite all our differences here we must never let them think for one minute that we are not in awe, that we do not grieve with them all their terrible loss.

And how many people died in the useless Civil War that the US had? How many died in WW1 and WW2 for their countries and what they believed in? Thank God we haven't lost more people in Iraq. Do the job, and then we can get them all home. If Clinton had caught osama when he had the chance, do you think we would be there today??

I couldn't agree more mate, I feel for every one of them with loved ones killed (many at such a young age.)

Many people will be out celebrating 2k7 tonight and we should all raise a glass to these people that gave the ultimate sacrifice.

They were killed for nothing, the world is no more safer for their deaths and that is what makes it even more sad. :(

AGS... I cannot agree that they were "killed for nothing." They gave their lives for what they believed in.

Jhn 15:13 Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

I believe as do you that it need'nt have happened. But this can never diminish their awesome sacrifice, or the knowledge that they gave their lives for EVERYTHING they believed in. And for us.

The politics of 'mice and men' pales in comparison.

No sir, they were soldiers, they signed on the dotted line and were committed from that point on.

There is a difference. I doubt all of them agree with going to Iraq.

If this were a quantum physics proposition you would probably be right. But just as quantum physics cannot measure love, neither can it measure devotion or sacrifice.

I'm glad we agree their loss is tragic either way.

    Happy New Year brother.
