Selling 2YR Old Blackberry Content Site - 10,000 + Members 6K Pure Profit In Feb.

Hey guys I am a long time member of the forum, with a lot of past sales. Here is the scoop:

Description

For sale is a Blackberry Storm / Blackberry Storm 2 wallpaper site. A lot of the wallpapers were physically made and watermarked by me for better content rankings. The site runs on Wordpress with a heavily modified theme that makes the site super easy to update, and keep secure + spam proof.

If you can make a post, then you can add a wallpaper to the site. Worpdress is very easy to use. Also, users who complete offers are tracked with subids and I have a cronjob php file that batch updates users so you do not have to do any work.

Users can download them directly, or have them sent straight to there mobile phones for free. The best part is, you do not need any type of special server or service for this, I wrote the PHP script for doing this myself and it works like a charm.

The site has over 10,000 registered + active members and on average the site gets about 400 new users a month.

Its a solid content site with decent traffic, and a highly convertible user demographic. I am working on a much larger project and do not have the time to work with this site anymore. This site is an awesome buy! I want to sell fast, and I think I have set the price pretty low for the value.

Another tid-bit, the site has over 700 members that signed-up using their mobile @vzw accounts. That means when you send them mail it will always go straight to their phone. Not only can you run the email list of all 10,000 + members, but you can directly target the other 700 + VZW users with mobile offers etc.

Revenue Details

When users sign up they get basic access. In order to access more popular wallpapers, and special features like having wallpapers sent to their phones they must complete an incentivized affiliate offer. Its a great way to make money off free content bc 99% of the users have commented that they have no problems filling out a quick email or zip submit for full, free access to the sites unique content.

On average the sites makes between $200, and $500 a month but as you can see with some creative ideas you can make a lot more. In Feb. I sent out the sites first newsletter to the 10,000 + members. In it I did included a pitch for an iPad email submit and it generated $5,800 in pure profit in one month.

Other than that I do not monetize the traffic. Someone who took the time to really target the offers could make a lot of money. I simply do not have the time for this site any more.

Traffic Details

As stated the site gets 40,000 + hits a month, 1/3 of them being unique, and 400 + converting into fully registered users. The site ranks in the top 3 (usually 1 or 2) for a lot of related terms:

• blackberry storm wallpapers
• blackberry storm wallpaper
• free blackberry storm wallpapers
• blackberry storm 2 wallpapers

etc. etc.

I also get traffic from over 17,000 other keywords like Jessica alba wallpaper blackberry storm etc. thanks to the SEO plugins that run on the site. I also have the Google Sitemaps plugin running with Google Webmaster Center and enhanced image crawling tuned on so the site ranks very well in image search as well thanks to the manual title + desc of each wallpaper along with tags + category.

Question: If the site made you over $5,000 from a simple newsletter ( which would take an hour to set up at most ) why would you sell it for $2k?

I wanted to show the earnings potential of the site if the owner takes some time to create something targeted. If you ask me that's an advantage to the buyer, I am selling the site at its normal average monthly income of $200 - $500 as stated in the revenue part of my listing, with the possibility to make it back in a month. I am not an affiliate marketer, someone who is could really make a lot of money with this site IMHO.

Im not really looking to keep the site. I am selling it to get it off my hands, I do not have time for it. Honestly all you have to do is take links from your aff network and add them its that easy. Everything else is automated. The email newslists are something im new to, and I was able to get one out in a couple hours and make $5,800 off it.

Its safe to say that if you know what you are doing, you wont have any problems making money with it. Serious buyers only please.
