This is my new site. My partner and I just opened it very recently. Those are my first skins for sale on it.

Please let me know what you think of the site design, etc.

    Thanks,
    Colleen

My partner is handling the adwords, we made our first sale too. So happy. Thanks for the review nevetS.

I am a skin machine, I should have lots more up soon. I've been devoting my time to that site.

How can you tell about the adwords anyway, I mean that we use them or whatever?

I really like Blue dusk and your price is competitive.

However, vB3 is XHTML and validates as such. You should consider getting yours to validate too. You're very close.

    Nice work.

EDIT: oops, I see that is IPB. :) The vB skin is even closer.

Thanks noppid. I keep forgetting that. I can get them to validate in no time.

For some reason I love getting my code to validate. ;) I am such a geek.

Thanks for checking it out and for the feedback.

One suggestion I have for you...

I'm going to be in the market for a skin before too long... something to go with www.bkweddings.com

lite and fast loading is 1 key, and the other is finding a skin that will actually be bright. So many skins out there are dark and "high tech"... I'll be looking for more flowery, pastel colors. Obviously, whatever I do, I'm going to end up trying to match the rest of my site, but when you preview, you want to see something that will make it easier to picture.

I just took a brief cruise around the web and didn't see anything like what I'm going to be searching for. In fact, most sites selling skins only have a few to choose from. And those that are available are relatively unimaginative.

Anyhow just a few thoughts, since I'm in your target market.

Thanks for that nevetS. I try to keep away from dark skins, I like them light and clean myself, but eventually I hope to have something for everyone. :)

hmph. I just clicked on both of your templates in expanded width in quick succession and they failed. If I slow down, they worked fine. (opened in new tabs in firefox). I tried again and it worked fine. They load slow however, so I wonder if your server isn't doing something right now or if you have a slight performance problem. (my server was getting crazy slow updating it's locate database every night. I just turned it off and then things were fine)

Could be the host. I will look into it.

    It's normally very quick. :)

Just checked, it's being sluggish, so it is the server.

    * your copyright shoots off the screen

    * I would say (this is personal preference) that you header is in kind of disbalance - the top menu is rendered very differently than the one below (e.g. typeface, mouse-over effects, etc)

    * You should change your Contact Us page to be served over HTTPS. It is not enough just to point the form to a secure page.

    Hello J.D.

What browser and resolution are you using?

    Thanks for the feedback! :)

FF 1.0.3. I don't think it has much to do with resolution, though (I tried a couple - same thing).

Ok, I was trying to see why the copyright is shooting way off. I will check it out. Thanks.

You´ve got a spelling mistake on the Services page - gaurantee should be guarantee.

I know nothing about skins so this might be a stupid comment but if I was going to buy a skin I would want to know if it was exclusively mine or how many other sites would be using the same one. Perhaps that could be one of the questions addressed in the pre-sales section?

I think you could also do a bit more seo - the titles are all the same except for the forum page. Al start with your site name, which would be great if your site was already the place to go for skins. Until then you might want to kick off the titles with Skins for sale - or whatever - and tailor every page for a different keyphrase.

Oops, I blame my partner, he redid the page lol. Thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks for the feedback, my partner is handling the SEO, I will pass this info onto him.

I didn't think of that, to explain that they are not exclusive. I will make a page of FAQ's.

Thanks e10. Your comments have been very helpful.

I like it too :) Some SEO work needed. As for website design: I don't like this photo, don't know why but I see the photo 1st and then your skins.

    Nice skins :)

Best of luck with your business,
    Nat

Thanks for the feedback Nat. Do you have any suggestions for a different photo? Wasn't sure what to put for a skin site.

I'll be sure to let you know WeRASkitzzo.

Thanks SM. I changed my name because I now have more than one online business and don't want my name representing just one, so it's neutral ground.
