I have this domain which stands for 2K Video Games. It's all about 2KSports video games. Could be good for Amazon affiliate. Could it lead to trademark problem? They have official site 2Kgames.com. From 2Kgames.com TRADEMARK AND COPYRIGHT INFORMATION: 2K Games, 2K Play, 2K Sports and related logos are trademarks and/or registered trademarks of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. Any advice please?
I was going to say that you should check uspto.gov if the trademark even exists first but since i already checked it, i would say it's totally legal, just make sure it's "2k Video Games" and not 2k games or 2kgames (without space). if you need more advice i'd suggest you find an internet lawyer to talk to.. Anyways good luck man. Having the same problem with my domain, haha.
The domain name itself is not TM infringement, but if you use it for video games, then they would have a case for TM infringement. You can't ride the goodwill established by someone else. Trademark infringement does not need to be exact - there only needs to a possible likelihood of confusion. I would not use this domain to sell video games unless you have express permission from 2K games.
