    Hi,

sorry if here is wrong place to post this.

I am newbie in 2CO. A few questions:

    1) INS: what is 2co equivalent to paypal txn_id? invoice_id or sale_id?

    2) FORM: we can pass our cart invoice id as c_prod_1 in form and get it back by INS as item_id_1

    3) INS: I believe each sale may have several notifications for fraud, order creation, shipment etc. so each notification would have a different invoice_id however all of them are for one sale/order but sale_id in all notification is the same for that order? is that right? please advice. if this is right, then in refund notification we should use sale_id to find this refund notification is for which order?

    4) INS: I think item_id_1 is the same which was passed as c_prod_1 by buttom form? and may be in refund notification we should use item_id_1 to find this refund notification is for which invoice?

    Hope to get help here.
    Regards,

    JefK-

We're more than happy to help developers, as well as our vendors.

I believe I see where you sent a support ticket with these questions, but others may be interested in the answers, so I'll post the reply supplied by a member of our product support team here:

1 & 3-- The 'sale_id' is the 2Checkout order number, which could be thought of as a container of invoices. The 'invoice_id' is the unique identifier for the transaction itself. If the sale was a recurring sale, the 'sale_id' would have multiple unique 'invoice_id' numbers. However, the 'sale_id' number should always be the one referenced when looking up the sale within your 2Checkout account.

2 & 4-- The 'c_prod_#' parameter is meant for individual product IDs. These will return in INS as the 'item_id_#' parameter. In a refund notification, the 'item_id_#' parameter will refer to the individual line item(s) that were refunded.

I am very amazed with 2co support. I am wondering they support not only their cusomers but developers like me too.

As long as a beatiful gateway like 2co is on the net, there is no need to other gateways like PayPal to exist on the net as that they don't support even their users. No need to mention that there are lots of fake gateways like MoneyBookers which are actually ID piracy systems.

It seems the only competitor of 2co is AlertPay?
