2checkout for multiple websites?

I have multiple websites that I currently accept PayPal only. I no longer want to use PayPal and instead would like to use a merchant to procesd my payments.

    My questions are as follows:

    1) Do I need a PayPal account to use 2checkout or do they accept PayPal payments on my behalf and credit those payments to my 2checkout account?

    2) As I have multiple websites can I use the same 2checkout merchant account for all websites?

    Thanks for any help.

I am in the merchant services business. You question can be answered by knowing if u are running a str8 sale or trial?

This is my first post, and from personal experience yes and yes!

You can take payments with 2CO for PayPal and Credit Card w/o having the need to have a paypal account, personally all payments are moved into your account. I know for sure, with CCNOW you can use the internal PayPal option offer with your account or attach your own personal account if you like separate transaction with PayPal.

Also, 2CO is a much better way at integrating online with must shopping carts, even online billing services offer with 2Checkout come with customizable API integration.

** I could not agree more, the 2CO for PayPal functionality works well as a temporary solution. Should you scale or change billings models your must migrate to processor. It really is just volume and whether this is a hobby or business. White-powder..great advise : )

    1. you don't need to have paypal account to be able to accept paypal payment via 2checkout. however you'll need your creditcard (in case you don't have paypal) to be able to withdraw your money at 2checkout via bank, they use this to charge you transfer fee in case the transfer failed.
    2. AFAIK you'll need 1 account for 1 website, because i see on the profile settings they asked for your domain name and they charge you some fee for changing domain name. also you can only have 1 name where it will be shown on your clients credit card billing statement. so i guess you'll need 1 account for each website.
