was searching for something and landed here:

    http://feeds.feedburner.com/goodnewspic

the page has about 30 468x60 banners on it

if i'm not mistaken google bought feedburner a few years back, still seems odd. was there a ToS change i missed?

This is Adsense for feeds. This is not Adsense for content. In Adsense for feeds you can use Adsense units after or before post or just after title like this and they have resizing capability according to content. And this is not Against Adsense TOS.

So it is a feed not a site then it is OK with Adsense TOS.

hmmm. it looks just like a regular web page. i checked the source.

i suppose this an index of feeds, and each feed can have an ad.

this is a pretty big loophole if you ask me, i wonder why everyone isn't using 'feeds' to plaster a gazillion ads all over the web pages. i mean, it's not hard to put content in the form of a feed and index it from a web page. i don't know much about feeds (obviously) but i suppose there is a good reason why people aren't doing it.

Those are AFF (Adsense for Feeds). They are added by feedburner.

the same number of ads will appear in the email newsletter sent by feedburner to subscribers. this is allowed but im not sure whether it has a high earning potential.

Strange that google is showing ads.
Usually they have policy to not show ads on more than 3 banners
