Overture keyword selector tool is not accurate?

I tried to optimize this keyword "pc computer repair" which according to Overture it has 55,000 searches done in Febuary and according to some Seo Experts, Google results is more than twice than that of Overtue results.

My website is now on the first page of Google for more than a week now but my site have not received yet any single visitor using this keyword.

Where are those 55,000 searching for this keyword in February?

I'm expecting hundreds of visitors per day for this keyword alone but what I've got is a big disappointment from Overture.

How could you trust Overture keyword selector tool if it is not showing accurate results.

Any comments on this Seo Experts of Digital Point?

 

SE results from tools such as Overture are archival, meaning they dont reflect current searches. If you had your site in March, then Feb data may not be applicable. Again, searches on Overture and Google are different. What may be going well for yahoo may not be good for Google. I once had 12,000 searches for "moving boxes" for Google, and expected to have about 20,000 for MSN but it was not so.

 

I take Overture's suggestion tool with a grain of salt...I tend to get more traffic from keyword variations of their suggestions (and they are just suggestions to me) than from the actual keywords that they suggest. So a lot of keywords that bring me traffic do not show up on Overture.

I've been at #1 for some of their suggested keywords and gotten maybe 1 or 2 visitors while I was at that position for those keywords.

 

I'm just wondering. I have used almost all the keyword selector tools available today and the results are almost the same, that keyword is really a competitive keyword. I even used Digital Point keyword tool and the results is 1800 search per day.

But those 1800 searching for this keyword suddenly disappeared in just a month time.

Anyway, I'm optimizing a new keyword again, just one at a time. Some kind of Seo experiment. I already removed that keyword from my H!, H2, from links and anchor text so my site will vanish now from page one of Google.

Hopefully, the results of my new keyword is real. The competition is really tough. My site is not even on the first 100. But I'll work hard again for it. Just give my self a month or two. Hope I can make it again.

overture is no longer updated their keyword tool.

I don't have the link handy right now but the "adwords" keyword suggestion tool is ok for a free tool.
