I have a basic layout of how my design looks, but some additional info might be better =) You want your site to have less text, but I'm at a loss on how to approach that (do you want categories, preview boxes, etc.). Any additional information would help, otherwise I'll post my entry tomorrow as is.
I think some breakout boxes for content similar to what is currently on the right hand side should do the trick. A nice graphic for getting a quote too.
Here is my entry (preview sized): For full size, here is the link: BestInsurance Layout Proposition Feedback is greatly appreciated =)
A little feedback: shandyisme: Good use of page space, like the main image which can be made into a carousel. Perhaps a different colour text for the bullet points below "Redundancy Insurance" & "Income Protection". Is it also possible to get a slightly bigger preview image? xDemevenx: Another great layout, like the boxes especially the top right one. Coulours work well together. leetsooc: again, great design. Particularly like the middle sectioon between the header and bottom boxes. The list of links on the bottom right box probabilly wouldn't be required, not sure what could go there instead at the moment. chewysmom (sent via email): Great layout, I love the £ under the umbrella. Good use of space in the middle, I can turn that into collapsable accordian (think this is where you were heading). Perhaps some icons for the 4 bottom boxes might be good. Thanks for the entries so far, looking great. Hope to see some more entries/concepts soon.
Heres my work , i really have a great time making this, hope you will like it... feedback please or any changes ... http://i231.photobucket.com/albums/ee270/imdoggz/bestinsurance.png
wow, some great entries you have here, hope you'll like mine and have fun.. EDIT: lol, mistaken the "Get A Quote" into "Get Your Quote", its text though, so can be replaced if needed
imdoggz: I like the layout but not a fan of the fonts used. The 4 boxes below the main image a re good but don't feel polished. Do like this, just needs sharpening up around the edges. r_ee: Again a great layout, middle section is great. Not so keen on the chade of green used for the horizontal bars.
BS_webdeciphers: Love the sidebar, looks nice and clean/crisp. Don't like the green used on the top navigation/bottom bar. Not so keen on the navigation at the very top. Thanks once again for the entries so far.
