I have over 2700 no follow back links from a PR2 forum, about 130 show up on yahoo site explorer.

    1. are no follow links a waste of time? from reading link exchange posts, I get the feeling they are.

    2. how long does it usally take backlinks to show up on yahoo?

    1. They are 90% a waste of time, you can only really benefit from them by the traffic you get
    2. They usually take 2-3 weeks

then you are saying that linking is a complete waste of time.

as 95% all sites are no-follow....

I have heard that google does not like sites to be do-follow....

I am not sure what is exactly true anymore....

It sounds like to me that there is a disadvantage of a site being do-follow, if
it was not, then why would all sites not be do follow? So whats up with that?

It`s not a waste of time, it`s just that no tool is ever going to show you the number of links you have. Google, Yahoo and others will show different numbers, which you should not count on, cause neither Google or Yahoo ever said they will show you ALL that they see.

It`s always best to keep on building those links than to count them ;)

no-follow should be used as and when required. Its not true that google doesn't like sites which are no-follow. The concept of no follow is introduced in order to stop the people who are working for links from different networks. Its like some people will work only for links which google doesn't like or prefer. Matt Cutts(Google engineer) has an explanation for your question. google to find that answer
