How old is your website? Maybe it had no of very low traffic before, for example if visits were 55 instead of 15398, it would show the increase of 27000%, that would be normal, I think.

Perhaps there was a bug with analytics?
I saw a similar jump in traffic, there was a problem with the code on the internal pages when this was fixed there was a huge jump in recorded traffic

The question is: how visitors did you had before this traffic boom? Do maths and find if the number showed its real or a bug.

Well, the site is about a month old. The traffic has been consistent of about 800uv/day. I checked and it stayed at about this level, so I think it is a bug.

Also I have done no more advertising. So...

It happen to the new website. Let say you are getting only 100 traffic at the first month and you get 27000 traffic at the second month, then it will show 27,000%.

Its not a bug, Its because the site is new.
You must have added the site to Analytics just over a month ago.

For the first month, the % change shows "NA" because there is no previous month to compare traffic with.
Once one month has past, Analytics compares the previous month (NA = 0) with the current month and comes up with the percentage change.

    Hope that helps

    Cheers
    James
