That is an amazing number, I just try to keep 10 open and firefox will lock up on me. Look forward to the other tests Cheers
I think you missed the post with opera look here: http://random-byte.blogspot.com/2007/07/100-sites-opened-in-opera.html Regards
IE seems to have an open window limit (not a memory) limit of about 100 windows. I've never been able to open more than 100 windows at a time. On any computer (laptop with less memory, desktop with more memory). Frustrating when 200 open windows makes data entry super fast, but for most people - no one would notice.
If you can open more, let me know. My need for that many open at a time is gone now (hiring people is easier heh), but its always bugged me.
this is interesting. can anyone do this automatically? like can i open 300 directories at one click and an auto form filler would fill the forms?? this would be good for directory submission...
I have between 5 and 30 tabs open in FF at most times and all runs nice there. I have been to 50+ but until recently I only had 256MB RAM and that was killing my machine running XP. Since upgrading it things are far better.
Its CPU utilization that is at 50% (Means it's taken one complete core, That is 100% utilization for a single core processor). Memory utilization is 82% On my Pentium D 3.6 GHz with 1 GB RAM I managed to open 146 tabs before it crashed. I'll try it with my other C2D, with 4GB RAM tomorrow.
wow........................Firefox is great.... I can hardly open 10-15 sites after that my pc starts hanging
