I would love to be able to do that. The only problem here is, it's extremely difficult to sell products online in India due to the lack of widely recognized payment methods. SMS billing/premium charging is pretty much not an option, and people in India just don't use credit cards online to an extent that makes it interesting. Or maybe I'm wrong? Have any of you had success selling products/services online in India? What types of payment did you use?

I might go ahead and try that. The kind of money we've generated through adsense till now is peanuts. Maybe advertisers would be interested in sponsored newsletters as well...

I am based out of India myself. Though I don't have experience selling stuff for Indian audience, I think it is a myth that Indians don't buy online. There is no harm trying. Get a paypal account, create some products, set the currency in Rs. and possibly start selling stuff using eJunkie. I am guessing such an experiment will take less time than what it is taking us here discussing whether you should do it or not.

Surely with a list of emails that large you could just set up an Aweber account etc, send out a series of emails saying you have been trying a new product/service and found it very useful. Give an affiliate link to it.
Or create a product yourself that is related and that should interest your market. It can be just articles or special reports, videos etc, make a squeeze page and off you go. Some are bound to purchase.

Alright, so I'm gonna start sending out some mails, see how the response, and then monetize it.

I'd prefer not to pay for sending out the emails, so I've set up phplist on my host and imported all the users, however my host will block me if I send out more than 1000 emails a day which is kinda useless.

Do you guys have any recommendations for hosting companies that will allow me to send out in excess of 30,000 emails a day? Or another way I can handle this without paying (too much). It doesn't necessarily have to be plug-n-play like Aweber, we can set up a phplist or whatever is required.

Hey, additional question: Any recommendations for (free or very cheap) software I can use for mass mailing?
