    It's hard to say in my oppinion. Directories are not the best source of backlinks, but if there are unique titles and descriptions, they can be good enough to help gaining PR and rankings.

    These kinds of links are completely different in the eyes of the search engines, they are not considered to be a vote of confidence, they DO NOT pass any PR and your website Will NOT get rewarded in the serps.

    Can you show me how you got to this conclusion ?
    And what is the COST of this 1 high quality backlink ?
    How about getting both the high quality link + the non high quality directory links ?

    Over the past 8 years I have tested , tested and re-tested, and Without a doubt have determined that I can get 1 good quality, relevant backlink and it will do more for my search engine rankings than 1000 directory links... you're living in the dark ages if you think that Google gives a flying Fu*k about directory links

    Think about this for a moment... Anyone can download a fee directory submitter and blast away to 1000's of directories, and Google knows that!
