$250 Website PSD Redesign PeopleRipple.com Deadline 8/10/08

Well here's a WIP, I planning on finishing it tomorrow, tell me what you think.

 

All great entries. Thank you for sharing your creativity. Overall, use of lighter complementary shades of logo colors caught our attention. The layout needs to be clutter-free, neat, clean achieved through color, borders/separations, headers, arrangement. Only 3 designer used organic elements/”hand-drawn” (Demenevex, hsbsitez, PhalanX); We would have liked to seen more. We're going for a clutter-free, neat, balanced look that has Organic Elegance.

Demenevex #7. Explore lighter colors and improve layout. We like the use of greens and the contrasts of the oranges. Lighten up the dark blue.

#34 LOVE the “hand-drawn” background element. Good use of colors, again. But top header is too dark. Missing blue hues.


TakeThat #8. Good use of color. Neat. Basic.


Dan9872 #11. Good use of white space. Good use of color. Nice and clean. We like the buttons (You, World, Others) and Login.


Rkquest #18. Good use of color. Explore other color than yellow. Good layout.

#28. Better colors!


Greenleafelf #17. Good use of color and white space. Boxy though.


Neilparnham. #25. Good use of color. Great separations/borders. Very narrow third column (right most). We're probably not going to use transparency.

#29. Much better.


Hetzenauer #32. Like the use of the logo elements. Too boxy. Nice use of color.


Raja #33. Light green works at the top. Explore lighter shades of colors for background and base. Boxy.


Darkrider #38. Great use of color and white space. Boxy.


Hsbsitez #40. Great use of color. Remove added elements under logo. Section headers need to be improved (User Option, Q & A). Boxy left hand navigation.


PhalanX#41. Great use of colors. Nav needs work. OK start. Remove design under logo. Improve and incorporate in other places.

 

you say # 29 much better is that meant to be #30 does that mean dont change anything then?

yes #30. sorry. definitely one of the top in consideration. great as it is (#30), but interested in how you might incorporate balanced "organic elegance".

wow, nice designs. I personally feel neilparnham's work is the most outstanding so far.

 

Thanks for the feedback good to see some designers attempted a copy of my button style .

 

of course. your design is ohh.. sooo.. good there no point in joining this contest because there's no way in hell you're gonna lose.

 

It was showing general appreciation for other designs I am not stating my design is amazing.

 

Still planning on entering if I can clear up my backlog by tonight!

How much longer before this contest ends?
I thought this was supposed to end last Aug. 10?

 

I think it's taking a little longer cause the contest holder has not been able to leave feedback for everyone every day so it takes longer for people to make changes once they do get the feedback..
