Hi DPers, I hope you are up for a challenge! I've had great luck with contests in the past and have decided to go for another. This time it will be for a logo and website design. The Contest Rewards Will Go As Follows: $250 1st Place Winner [*]$50 2nd Place Winner Please note: Assuming we find a design we like, we will be offering the 1st Place winner a chance to design many more parts to our site, which would result in much more great pay. Contest Rules: Contest Will begin on April 23, 2009 and finish on May 5th, 2009. Absolutely no posting of images or template submissions on the main thread, I need all images/templates submitted by PM. We would like to keep this contest as private as possible. Site needs to very graphical, clean, professional, slightly corporate, and aimed towards a US audience. Compensation will be done by PayPal, if special circumstances occur we will permit MoneyGram. 2 Winners will be chosen: First Place and Second Place. So now you are probably noticing that there are no details posted about the actual site. I'm actually going to post the details here, since I want to make sure I can get as many participants as possible! Our site name will be "Grabzer", we are a Penny Auction House. I will provide a few examples of other sites below so you can get an idea from this. What’s most important for us is 1) our image and 2) the impression our network and brand is making on visitors. We want our network to maintain a very, very professional look while also having some of the best functional features and most interactive, unique user interface out there. All-in-all, we can describe our desired design as being very professional, clean, sharp, and interactive. Example Sites: Swoopo BidRay GrabABid The main page should: Keep the same style as the example sites of Auctions Ending Really Soon and then more auctions ending soon on the bottom. Have spot for 1-3 featured auctions (could be one spot that rotates) Have a spot for important text to be displayed Have a graphical link to our charity page will be Register now and get 5 bids free on an image or header somewhere *Programming is not needed for these just set up the layout/template. Coding to XHTML may add some bonus points. Logo: We also need a logo design so please be sure to match that with the site. Feel free to be creative but remember we are looking for something professional, clean, eye catching, and graphical.
