Recently I've been promoting a product, which has less than 10 gravity, and it's a pretty small niche. The product sales page seemed ok, so I thought, why not to give the product a try? I got 250 super, laser-targeted hops, through my landing page to the publisher's website and so far 0 sales. So do you think, it's the time to say "bye-bye" to this product or I should wait a bit? The strange thing is that the sales page looks really good, and I would buy the product, if I was a customer looking to solve that specific problem but for some reason, it doesn't convert.....
I feel your pain, I'm in a similar position with a small niche product too ... it's a shame cb-analytics doesn't show sales to hop ratios, that would make life easier ... in these situations i think it's best to give it a bit of a holiday ... leave the pages etc up, see what happens, the bum marketing will still be operating ... but look for your next product to promote, one that hopefully sells better ... coz if it takes you so long to get your first sale, it'll prob take just as long for the 2nd etc
The price is $19.95, which is quite cheap, I think. Even for this niche.... As I said, the sales pages looks great.
Are you paying for clicks/hops? If so, I would give it one more go and if you don't get a sale in 100 hops then drop that sucker like a bad habit.
which product are u talking about ? this workathomegoldrush.com or this restore-deleted-files.com There is only 2 product in the marketplace that cost $19.95 and both have gravity lower than 10, so I can't really know which one is the product u are talking about. But if u let me guess, I think u are talking about workathomegoldrush.com since u like promoting "make money online" products and the product sales page design looks good. Here is my answer to your question Make money online products needs many good reviews before anyone will buy it, but the gravity is too low for any affiliate to pick it up and promote. So that is the reason you are not making sales.
I don't want extra competition But I know how a nice sales page looks like. The traffic is free, but I already got almost 300 hops. So seems like there is a reason why it has only 10 gravity. It converts like sh!t. The product, that I am talking about is not "make money online" product. It's a micro niche, which is not related to Internet marketing at all.
Don't do my mistake bl4ckmaN, i had the same problem, i had one product, 310 hops with not even one sale, and i left it because i was afraid, then i took another product, didn't hyad a sale for 434 hops, i decided that i am not leaving the ship to drown, i decided to stay from 500 hops, and if it's not going, i am leaving adwords forever (i use only free methods for all my sales, just wanted to make them faster), so when i got to 500 hops, i enter to my clickbank account, and i see 7 sales of a 99$ product, that i get 87$ from it, you do the math, so what i want to say, is that conversion don't have to happen like in the books, sometimes you just have to play with it
Well, I am not saying, that the product has to convert in 20 hops, but I expect something between 100-150 from targeted traffic. Currently I have over 300 hops, and so far nothing. Another reason, why I want to drop the product is because of it's gravity. It's probably low, because affiliates try to promote it, then they don't get sales and they leave it. That makes sense.
How are you driving traffic to the landing page? I would probably quit at 300-400 hops with no sales.
Traffic mainly comes from my articles, but I do also get some little organic traffic. Everything is targeted.
I would suggest giving it another 250 hops before you drop it unless it is costing you quite a bit to get these. I typically wait until 500 hops before drawing conclusions about sales ratios.
To me the offer is not that appealing. I mean, what's the USP? (Unique Selling Proposition). I don't see anything specific. And I wonder why you believe that's a great sales letter? It has good graphics, but other than that?...
It isn't the stand-up comedy guide is it?. If so, that product has been very hard to crack for someone I know, since most searches are either leisure time browsing or people looking for free info....which is the case in every niche anyway. Although it might be helpful if you told us which category it belonged to...financial, medical or what-not, since your customers in this niche aren't likely to have seen the antics displayed by affiliates in a similar category.
