Actually, i find hard designing a webpage alone that making it running.. because i can see my design where it is going.

here's my entry. actually, the lower part is unfinished. just living a space to play around with the content. its somehow running already. it has also a running flash sample on it.

i hope you like it as i enjoy doing it...

Contest is still open for another two days.

    Feedback -

fujimoto - We like the design, but it seems to be very simple. We are def. looking for animation in this and would like to see what you can come up with.

willhaynes - You are probably in the lead right now, the design we really like, and would possibly like to see some animation inside the header image, lets see what you can do with that.

fenzo - your design is probably coming in second right now - it is VERY busy, way to much text, it looks like I am reading a newspaper when I open your design. Lets see if we can lay out some filler content a little better with your design.

qw3rt7 - We like the use of colors, but your design is very bubbly. there is not much we can do with that as far as a subpage goes and adding more content/pages to it with its current layout, I would probably suggest a different approach with this design.

herodineshkumar - Your first two designs did not really appeal to us. The third design you've submitted was probably the best - but we would like to see something more along the lines of what was shown as an example in my first post.

Ward Larson - Your design is very "blue" and about as basic as it gets. We would like to see some creativity, the use of more colors - and maybe some stock photography in there.

jtoms - The only one with animation so far! I love where you are going with this design/layout, although I think better choices with colors is necessary. The animation is a good start, but I would like to see less whitespace inside it.

Thanks everyone for all your hard work and entires! We will still be accepting designs for another two days before we make a decision.

Thanks again, and any questions, please let me know!!

didn't know you required coding as well. I made my design simple because the images that rotate in that spot will be the main focus of the site. You don't make an animated banner for this type of website you use a flash or an html image slideshow. Nowhere in your contest does it say that programming is required.

I'm in the same boat here, I'd be more then happy to make the image that can rotate out, but I'm not a javascript/jquery whiz.

I'd be more then happy to make each "banner" though so the programmer can see what to put it. Do you have any specifics for what you want displayed in that spot?

Here's what I've done so far.
It's coded (XHTML - Cross browser).
My targets to achieve: SEO Friendly and Compact web page (No scrolling expected)

    http://isusx.com/docs/img/imc

I'll adding style something like this
    http://isusx.com/docs/img/virtual-investments.jpg
    (Rounded + Gradient backgrounds)

It's midnight now and I'll continue my work tomorrow
    Things to do:
    - Gradient background
    - Color selection (finishing) - Current color is not nice yet since I focus in the structure first.
    - Flash banner
    - Refine dummy contents
    - Rounded web 2.0 buttons
    - Footer (finishing)

Please give me your feedback for my work so far.
    Thanks

sigh, I entered for a design contest not a programming show-off. If some of you decide to tempt the CH with rollover effects more power to ya, but this seems unfair. Guidelines were stated clearly and even the contest holder is going outside the guidelines now for what he/she wants.

    whatever...

agreed, very sketchy moves made by CH. i'd hate to know what the other $1000 of work includes if they want all this for $250. ridiculous.

I can assure you I am not impressed by roll over effects.

I can care less whether the design is coded or uncoded.

In fact - the two people in the lead right now, their designs are uncoded. For $250 I am expecting some creativity in the layout.

Maybe it was worded wrong - If you are going to do animation, whether it is flash or jquery thats fine, but we are not basing the winners on this.

the other $1000 worth of work includes marketing material like landing page design. it is mostly/all design work.

SUBMIT all your entries in this thread in all fairness, no PMs or secret layouts.
