$250 For Site Design

WOW... design@ great work!

As of right now - its between the following 3 contestants:

(FEEDBACK - Again, WOW - great work! The header is a bit ehh to me - it doesn't really bring the "guy site" feel. But we'll worry about that later once I have the finalized logo/mascot. The top nav: not really feeling the striped buttons or the icons. Try something darker more like the content section headers or a darker red gradient for the color. For the icons, better icons will be needed, like custom ones that match the style of the icons used in the section headers. *Orange/yellow and solid white* The icons can wait till after the contest if you win because I know they're time consuming to make. But if you'd like to make them now, that is also ok. )

(FEEDBACK - This is still my favorite design but theres just something about it thats not selling it to me. Like I said, before - try darker colors *darker then the one you posted after this one*. Doesn't have to be red white and yellow. You can add darker colors if needed. You can also you different colors in general if you want. Maybe some black, blue, grey.. Also - make all the rounded edges, square. Icons can of course wait until after the contest if you win.)

(FEEDBACK - This version of yours is still my favorite of yours. Keep the red and the style of the content sections there now. Try something cool with the headers - maybe just text or maybe a different color bg... not sure... I just know, that this version is a great starting point and you shouldn't divert to much from it. )

Anyone can still enter the contest, but unless the quality is up to par with the designs above, feedback will not be given.

I am also still waiting for the logo/mascot to be completed. The contest will end when the logo is completed and used in the entries. Once the last round of entries are submitted, the members of the site (that the design is for) will decide who the winner is.

I will continue to provide feedback on the designs mentioned above and to any other design that deserves feedback. If you'd like to PM me a design before posting it here, please do that.

Thanks for everyones hard work, I greatly appreciate it. Also, please understand that with a prize of $250 I'd like to get the best that I can get and thats why so many revisions and time is needed.

please wait me one more day, i'm busy with my studies but i'll be able to make the modifications you requested tomorrow.

 

UKF_Kurtis - still not in love with it... I'm not sure what other changes to suggest... Any changes on your end are welcomed and like Zeba, you can use other colors if you want...

design@ - the top nav buttons are better but still have have the stripes. A more darker red gradient would look best I think. Regarding the header - I wont be able to really critique it until I have the final logo - so for now, its ok.

Zeba5 - I will be waiting, like I said in my previous post - the contest will not end until the logo is done and used in the contest entry mock ups...

I should be receiving a sketch of the logo tomorrow and we'll go from there... Also - the site design structure/idea is still in the air so please be aware that I will be asking for changes once we narrow down the ideas. You're also more then welcomed to provide additional mock ups with new ideas/colors. Like more of a blog look - everything is still in discussion...

There might be a way to contact him or something, who knows. Maybe he is only banned a week so will be back soon. If not, any of the designs nando likes would be worthy winners.

Zeba no... lol... you haven't won yet. Still my favorite though. I'm still waiting for the logo so why end the contest until I can see a complete mock up with it in place.

GWK You are in NO WAY out. You started the contest with a quality design and I'm hoping to see more variations..

DaveyBoy I was hoping to see an entry from you. If you have time, you should enter - you do some great work.

Again - this contest is STILL OPEN - all I did in my previous posts is declare my favorites so far. Like I said above, I'm still waiting for my logo and I will not choose a winner until the logo is finished and used in an entry.

Yes - this is still open. This will stay open until I declare a winner. When creating a new template, have layout structure resemble a blog.

TO ALL: We are definitely going for a blog look for the homepage. Please make the changes accordingly. You can also wait for the logo to be completed before you make any changes - its up to you.
