$25 USD Prize for Logo Design Contest + $10 for Tagline

Hi,

I'm starting this contest for a logo for my new company.

The name of it is Curvy Nation

It's a social network for "curvy" women. It will be full of people that do not follow society's "norm" of what is beautiful. We believe beauty comes in all shapes and sizes.


If you use a woman in the logo, she has to be a very curvy (pear shaped = more hips than breasts) woman....slightly plus size.

My initial idea was to use an interstate highway road sign with it in some kind of way. I don't know how, but that is just what popped into my mind when I first thought about it. You don't have to do that though...use what you feel will best describe a "Curvy Nation".

This will be used on stationary, car magnets, websites and other promotional items.

It will also be used on clothing, so it has to be something clean. I'm open to different color schemes.



I would prefer a vector format or a very large png and I will need the source files.

I will pay the winner via paypal and will do so within 12 hours of receiving the files.

I will pick a winner no later than Thursday the 15th by 10pm. If someone submits one that I instantly fall in love with, the contest will end sooner. If no design wins, the contest will be closed with no winner. However, I don't foresee this happening because I've been browsing logo contests and I've seen WONDERFUL submissions.

You can NOT use copyrighted graphics or content.

I will have full rights and the designer will not be able to distribute the logo elsewhere. I will give credit to the designer and he/she can give me a banner to put on my website for 1 full year free of charge (to possibly make more money with designing).


I will leave feedback for each and every design. Please keep in mind that I don't live on the computer, so it might take a little while for the feedback, but it WILL be left.

I just thought about this, this contest could be done by you coming up with either the logo OR tagline or logo AND tagline. I can pick one or two winners.

Its just a first draft, I am new to illustrator, usually use photoshop but I see that you want vector.

treyb, I see where you're going....but it's hard to tell that it's a woman. This is more of the sign I was referring to...




but it doesn't have to be a road sign or a vector. It's just that if it's not a vector...I would like it to be a big file so that I can scale it.

But, I'm open to any suggestions. Just anything that will tell the people it's a nation full of curvy women. The road sign was just my initial thought.

 

gipanuhotko...I like where you're going with that. Would it be possible to change the font to more of a feminine font, but not too "girly" (if that makes sense...lol) If you look at the picture that I put up, I was thinking a silhouette of a curvy woman's body (the entire body) with the words Curvy Nation in the red part of the sign. I hope that makes sense. Again, you don't HAVE to use the road sign unless you just want to.

I also thought about something like the Chanel double C's but with CN...I have no idea what font though....and the silhouette of a curvy woman.

Or, just a silhouette of a curvy woman without the name (that will eventually become recognizable with just the symbol....kind of like Nike.

Again, these are just suggestions....let your imagination run wild.

spy, I really like that one.....the only things if the silhouette could be in a less sexual pose...but still sexy, and she's too skinny...lol is there a way to fix fix the spacing between the i and o? But, I like the way that's going.

debayanmitra, I like that one too, but what about taking out the sign and making the silhouette girl a little bigger (plus size) and maybe adding a few more of them so it will go with the "community" feel.

 

Do u want to remove the curved sign only? or total Sign Board?

 

the whole sign board so it's just the words and the people.

Again, let your imagination run wild, it does not have to be JUST words with the silhouette. I want the graphic to be the logo more than the words, I really want the words to be an afterthought. Like when you see the Nike swoosh, you know it's Nike without the word "Nike" with it.

I know I'm all over the place, but I hope this helps.
