Contest 25 USD logo contest for a Singapore political party logo. (2 weeks)

Dear all,

I'm creating a small logo contest right now (I used to pay a lot more 5 years ago, but I don't know if DP design standard is still the same as before, consider this a test)


1. Party name: Great Singapore Nation Party
2. Need a ring, with a "Merlion" (google) art in it (can be tilt a bit, or facing center)
3. The merlion please don't follow exactly the merlion statue, but it can look a bit like those majestic real lion (like the lion in Hong Kong dollar notes), or manga style etc, or even take reference from the the art styles of the following two flags, except is merlion. (Merlion = white color lion head but fish body. I do not mind if this version of merlion has 2 huge paws, but tail make it fish, or near dragon tail/no legs)

Cute version of merlion is actually not bad, the party represents youth energy, and at the same time great.

Winner of this logo contest will also be given new logo design work in the future for my client projects. (Logo design or web design)

@Sanjida Hossain When you use pre-made vector graphics, it is fair to mention the original designer. Modifying a design doesn’t make it your own. It is also unfair for the client. They are paying for original work, not vectors they can download from the Internet.

So far, I like XaraLee's design most.

 

I'll give XaraLee's design auto-win (with light modifications required) if there are no new entries in 2 days time.

 

For your design, I really like the lion vector etc, possible to improve on the "circular" outer layer? Can also consider having some scales in the merlion body (e.g. many U shape lines)

Also possible to try having a "light cyan gradient to white version".

Also possible to horizontally flip the entire merlion art.

I had some other things to work on today so I am still working on it. Should upload soon.

 

Here is my first concept. I think the Merlion could use some work. I have to get some sleep now though. I can work on it some more when I am up if the contest is still running.
