Pod, your entry is quite good, but the map can lower by 35 to 50px or something so it doesnt block

Denisa, your entry is also quite good, but not too visible.

Btw guys, I'm making my requirements more flexible now, I need a filter that best represents the unity of the earth, forget about all my map and color requirements, whichever way is the best, just do it. More about the world, less about the blue color looking like facebook. But the filter must also look ok with photos, it shouldnt look too funny blocking away faces

Maybe you guys can also consider adding a peace sign. creative freedom.

One more thing:
1. background overlay filter is about 50% (just the color)
2. the earth map can be 100%, blocking over existing photo
3. The word can also use "World against terrorism"

Pod, do you think you can go through my post just above this? I think there's alot of potential with your map, background filter is 40%,50%.. the map can be 80% to 100%. Use my pic instead. Italic can remove, words can change to "United world against terrorism". Words is also 100% cover the existing photo. Maybe you add another layer of black peace sign in the center of everything, another layer infront of the map. The map try to lower abit so it doesn't cover eyes like zoro.

 

sapphiro so you are not gonna use the whole picture and just reduce its opacity but separated elements?

 

good attempt, but the symbol and all need to be alot smaller, like 60% or 50%, and maybe it doesnt need to be transparent, and maybe you can separate the peace sign from the map so more understood. Maybe the peace sign can appear on the bottom right

 

yeap, the background is a 50% filter, some other elements can be 100%, but with a glow so just incase white font on white background, the glow will differentiate it

 

Make the peace logo infront of the map would be better, but I'm still not choosing a winner yet

I think I quite like my current filter, I may just need some more bit of edit, mainly is adding the map.


I don't have much time for this project, so I'm ending the contest in 2 hours if there are anything nicer than my own edits, if not for those who gave major effort I'll pay you $4 or $5 each. But if theres someone who can make a improvement to my own current one, the contest still on
