First of all, thanks to all DPers that have placed press release orders during my summer special. The special for $25 press release writing is ending on August 31st. The former normal rate of $75 has been raised to $99, due to the demand on my public relations and writing services collectively, and will be the going rate starting September 1st. So if you have company or site news, and you have an interest in having a PR pro draft your press release, please be sure to PM me or email me at to place an order. To expedite the process, when ordering a press release, be sure to send along the following information: 1. The URL for the site / company the release is regarding. 2. The full name, email, and phone number for the media contact to be included on the release. (make sure your email address is at the same domain as the company's site for best results) 3. The hometown to be listed in the dateline. 4. What's the news? (Just launching a site isn't enough to be newsworthy. Are you offering a unique product or service? Is there something about your site that competitors are completely lacking? Is it completely unique in and of itself? Can it be tied to something in the news to make it "current"? etc.) 5. Any statistics you feel are important (whether it's a actual launch date of a site, service, or product, the number of something available if you're offering free downloads, articles, etc....) 6. Tell me whether you prefer being invoiced through a standard company invoice or via Paypal, and tell me the email address to send it to either way. I don't invoice until the release is completed and submitted to you. And don't forget, if you really want to try writing a press release yourself, I have a few free press release resources, including a free press release template linked in my sig. Jenn
What's the total price for a press release write-up and submission? I'm looking around right now for a service...
That depends entirely how how you wanted it submitted. Manual submissions run several hundred to several thousand dollars depending on the scope and number of outlets. I'm still submitting to free newswires at $5 each to cover my time (I usually use a set of 5, but can do as few as one or as many as you want, and you can handpick the ones you want if you prefer). Then you handle upgrades on your own at your discretion. The writing aspect is $25 through this month, then back to the regular rate of $99 after that. Jenn
