Why do you have the 25 post rule before you can post in contests? TBH I have no interest in the forums other than listing some competitions which is why I joined (had I realised it takes two weeks I may not have bothered) In the last two weeks I have spent my time writing fairly irrelevant and pointless comments to get to my 25 post limit in order to be able to post in the contests thread (which I still can’t do) I don’t understand why you have this rule – it’s a pretty bloody annoying and as far as I can see pointless. All I am interested in doing is getting bits designed and built for my website! It seems to me that you have enough Moderators to stop the idiots from posting rubbish so why can they not watch out for what new members are doing or posting!
95% of the posts on DP already are rubbish. For example, take a look at this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2229459#post16494577
This is my post #1. Anyway, i just want to have a contest!!! Seriously, i don't spam, i just want to host a logo design contest. PLEASE MODERATOR< LET ME IN!!! I JUST JOINED FOR CONTESTS!
25 Posts is fair to hold a contest. Anyway, nobody seems to like contests that don't involve skill, my contest hasn't got any posts. ;(
Not really a contest if it doesn't involve skill now it is? Unless you think buying a lottery ticket is a contest too.
If that is the case then you need to have a "lottery" forum. In regards to the 25 For contests, maybe a lower limit to post in contests but to make contests raise the limit to: echo('{postcount}') or 37. xD
How about if you just let the rich dudes cut the queue with a hefty $100 bill for a fast forward. Should help the server cost a bit right. Plus they probably won't become a spammer if they have the bucks.
