I already have a logo that a company is using but they want a better one. Here is a link to what they are currently using: http://cmonova.com/RedandWhiteShovel.JPG They are general contractors who build things like buildings etc....so use your imagination. I do not care about the colors as of now. Size should be comparable to the example because I will be using it as a header on a web site also. Will last 48 hours and will pay $25 to the best one selected by owner.
*Pulls up photoshop* I'll edit with my design later. EDIT: Entry (Yes, I redrew the back-co(SP)) I can change anything about the coloring, just the original was all red, so I left the color scheme as it was.
hey heres my attempt i cant provide psd as i dont use photoshop but i can edit it for you if you want
To my understanding, this isn't a logo just for a website. It's a companies logo. That means it'll be printed on trucks, papers, etc. You have to remember that if it's going to be printed; all the fading effects, grainy effects, and 3d effects won't show up that good, and might be a good logo, but the company won't want a logo that catches the eye, but only because it looks bad printed. I'm not trying to put anybody down, or try to say mine is the best, because I don't believe it is. Personally, I only think that mine, and retzseo's would be a suitable logo for a company. All of them are great, and would be great for a website, but not for actually printing the design.
Uhhh... you really should have left that for the contest holder to say. The contest holder did say it would be used as a header on a website (read the original post again) and made no mention of where else the logo would be used. So the question now is for only the contest holder to answer: "Besides on a website, where else will the logo be used and do you want all contestants to stay away from gradients and other effects?" Thanks CH, for any clarity you can provide so that everyone is all on the same page and not assuming what you want. -CU_Designs
Obviously it will go on a website, and probably letterhead. Not too concerned about vehicle at this time. If I can get it in .jpg , .gif. psd etc then it will suffice.
Oh okay, just the original logo looked as if it was used commercially. Sorry about that. I just wanted to make sure that everybody that had entered so far were doing it correctly. I didn't try to make a confusion, just tyring to understand the requirements. Thanks for clearing that up, hand.
so far I like what I see and will be getting with the company today to see if they like any of them or to let this run a bit longer. Thanks to all.
