thanks for entering the contest... Your design is definitely unique... And does have everything we're looking for (focus on the "WebCode" and the <>'s...)... It seems a bit too plain though...

 

What exactly do you mean by that. Color, or just the design because if it is color i can make it better i will edit this with revised color. PLease could you say something specific about hwo i could spruce it up.

I like that a lot more, it stands out a little bit and won't disappear into the website... Contest ends in 23 hours...

Sorry, I missed your entry until now...
Your entry has a nice shadow effect, but I'm not too crazy about the vertical text on the left hand side... Even so, it would blend in pretty good with the layout...

when you say the globe is "on theme"-what do you mean? like it's "clip-art"?

If we wanted to change the little text inside the globe, is that possible?

 

It's almost 9:30, so the contest is just about over... I've called in reinforcements, so there's going to be 3 judges... In a moment we'll post the results...

Ok, this was hard...

First, honorable mention goes to:

onixz100: Your image had my vote, but I was outvoted, everyone else said it didn't "catch your eye enough"... Amazing job though...

msdriven79: Your bold, multicolored entry was great, but the consensus was that it didn't seem "techie" enough for this type of site...

Speno: Yours was a finalist... Very professional looking, almost to a fault... If we were a mortgage company, yours would have won...

Istvan: Amazing entry, great concept... Yours was hard to turn down...

The colors and style blended perfectly; the logo stands out, but doesn't distract from the overall page; and has an icon that we can (hopefully) use to create some form of brand recognition...
