Contest $25 Logo For www.aboutrunning.net - 48 Hour - PayPal

I need a logo for my running website. It is a website that is obviously about running but also about nutrition, health as well as shoes and training gear for running. I would like a logo that relates running with a symbol of some type. I do not think just text will do the trick. However, I feel that the designer should showcase their talent. So I am open to creative ideas.

I plan on leaving the colors the same on this site as it was just a quick build using the older StudioPress Magazine theme.

I have used PSD files before so I guess that is the format I need unless I am otherwise educated. I will not use anyone's image unless it is chosen. You have no way of knowing this for sure but it's the truth.

If some of you prefer to post through PM, that is O.K. with me.

This is my logo so you will only be dealing with me and not a client of mine. So the opinions and communication should be much simpler.

I have been watching these contests for some time and I have a few designers on here that I hope they will participate in this contest. I will not name them nor contact them as I read the post about these contests. So I am being fair to everyone, it's n open contest. I am a fair person so if the logo is reasonably good, there will definitely be a winner.

If I left something out, please ask and I will try and answer as soon as possible as I will keep checking this contest throughout each day.

A real person or does it matter what kind of symbol?

I should have stated not to use those stock or human photo images. I am looking for more of a symbol that is created and not used from a photo.

This seems to be a little generic to me. I see the symbols that look like all the gymnasts on a lot of logos. Looking for something a little more unique. Not really crazy about either of the fonts either.

 

Was designed by hand, but oh well. Thanks for review but I guess I will skip it.

 

I'm still thinking on this one. I usually try to shy away from all caps, however there is something I like about this one. Color scheme matches. Not bad so far.

 

If someone would like to try having legs or a runner incorporated into the "R" I would like to see something like that as an option.

Pretty good attempt to capture an idea of Running "R" by SGDesigns. I would prefer the "R" be more in line with the "unning" part. Also do not like the font or the color. Here is my running site for the color scheme.

 

Not really digging it. It looks pretty close to what I have now.

 

I would prefer to have the words About and Running to be two different colors. I also prefer a glossy look like this logo - The logo and the text as well. It can even be mirrored or not. It depends on what is presented.

 

Here is another logo idea that has potential. The figures would need to look more like runners though. Just trying to give you guys some more ideas. I hope this helps.
