Here is my first concept, feedback is appreciated!

 

• simple and modern, fresh
• simple to use on web and print, not only as an app icon
• works very well in big and small size
• it represents recorder + bubble (talking)
• used primary colors you wanted
• works very well on picture, dark and light background
• original - everyone else are using microphone most of the time

The responses have been great guys, some overall feed back: use the color palette provided and try to use solid colors with no gradient. also Flat design.

Look at @lanz913 logo its square, flat and incorporates the microphone and recording.
The contest still has a few more hours but so far the results have been great.

@umcxa I like the simplicity is there a way to incorporate other shapes into it?
@jagodesign the record button is nice, i like the concept is there a way to make is more clear as to what the red button does?
@me2_me2 the chat bubble is great, the square shaoe is more what i am looking for, can you replace the gradients with solid colors? i am looking for a flat design
@pehulz The microphone and hand is cool, what ideas do you have for the negative space left over?
@massi1 The bottom square shape is more what we are looking for, can you focus on the microphone and recording?
@Gladiator_28 this is a really neat design, the app will forcus on voice recording and not video though can you switch the film roll?
@SeventyTwo i really like the incorporation of the chat bubble. is there a way to use a different symbol other than the reel?
@lanz913 wow i really like your top design. very unique. Can you try some other colors in the palette?
@Padurariu Alexandru THe question mark is a col symbol to use. Can you make the design flatter?
@IM3D This design is cool as wel, how would it look with no gradients and solid colors in the palette?
@ariif I like how the microphone is the focus can you make outline square and maybe put the blue ring as a red recording circle?
@logoesdesign Your microphone is a cool shape, can you switch the base of it? also how would it look with solid colors?
