$25 Logo Contest

Site background: My new site is called "Crunch Gear" (www.crunchgear.net) and is a gadget/gaming blog

Look: I want a simple, professional, brandable logo, which will look good on different kinds of media as well as the website. I dont like logos that are just the name of the site in a fancy font, but if you think you can make this work, feel free to surprise me. Creative use of the letters 'C' and 'G' might be good though.

Prize: $25 via Paypal

Time: Contest runs until Sunday, August, 24th. However, I may cut the contest short if I receive an entry I like

The designs so far are are concentrating on fancy fonts with too many colours. I am after a logo that can look good with or without the name of the site. It needs to be clean - if you look at my site, it is very minimalistic.

The best so far is IM3D's design - I like the G inside the C. However, this still needs some work. I would prefer to see something ultra clean, maybe using greyscales so that it will fit in with my sites design. I like the cleanness of the apple logo - I will look for other examples of what I like and will post them (along with feedback) as I find them.
