He could just be testing how it looks on the site man. You need to watermark your entries if you are bothered about preventing this kind of thing. The CH has done the same in his other contest, so maybe he is just testing them on the sites, or maybe he is a thief We'll soon see i guess. Try not to jump to conclusions though, man.
You and I are in the same boat. I've not received any responses yet, and he's had my logo on his site for about two or three days. I smell a rat.
This is true, however, the proper method is to inform the designers that he will be testing them, not using them. The contest holder has been logged on and has not had the courtesy to address the issue within his contest threads. Watermarking does not prevent theft and theft should not be tolerated under any circumstance, no matter what the prize payout would have been. Search "who is" and you should be able to find the details you need to pursue action. Send the offender a "cease and desist" and hopefully this should end the issue. If not, your options are to do nothing, or pursue legal action. In a case such as this, it's not about the money, it's about the principal.
he contacted me tonight about my logo he was using. he gave me a line about getting his paypal account verified, and he wanted to know if i would take any other form of payment. i informed him he doesn't have to be verified to pay someone with a credit or debit card. i've not heard back since.
