Contest $25 - I want a fun logo... for FrickNCheap.com Frick and Cheap are cute little

I want a fun logo... for my new site FrickNCheap.com Frick and Cheap are cute little birds.

Frick is a big goofy bird.
Cheap is a cute little guy.

Together, they are Frick N Cheap......

The idea is cute guys who are designed in a similar simple style to these cartoon characters from a kids show...

Frick... can be larger and doofy like that purple guy. (they do not need to be those colors)
Cheap...can be like a cute little bird. (they do not need to be those colors, in fact I prefer they not be, but I leave it open)
I do not just want copies of those characters but different characters.

Okay, so looking for a banner which has these two guys and they have little cartoon bubbles and they are saying:

"I'm Cheap" "I'm Frick, welcome to our store..."

FRICK N' CHEAP​

I am not looking for anything fancy with the text. Can just be simple readable black font.

I will give lots of feed back. There will be a winner selected provided more than 3 people enter. If I like the design I will pay a bonus as well. Check my rep, nobody gets screwed working with me.

I will own all rights to the design, concept, artwork, and I would like the raw files of the person I select as the winner. Please know, I can't design for shit myself, so if I want more images of these guys I will go back to the winner.

The characters "Frick" and "Cheap" and the name FrickNCheapâ„¢ are trademarks of CDB WEB, LLC.

That is pretty damn on the money. Let's make the Frick character have different feet and maybe a different hat. He looks too close to the reference character. Also, the guy on the left should only say his name, only the guy on the right says "Welcome to our store".

I had intended Cheap on the left and Frick on the right but I like the way you did it too. So far I would have no problems awarding you the money so lets see if someone can beat you. Hmm, the guy on the right is a little too much like the reference character too. Please just alter him some. Different feet and/or hair/ color. Something.


Oh, and I like the clear background.

 

Also very nice. I like that these characters are more unique and different from the reference images. This is new top pick.

I would prefer to have Cheap on the left and Frick on the right. Last, I liked the black border on the bottom text... and there is an apostrophe after the N'

The other guys image seems to be gone, but I like his more than yours because the characters are more unique and different from the reference images.

I don't like to bullshit so I will tell you flat out, you will not win against that other image with these characters - just too much like the reference image. I just want that simple style, not copies. You would need new characters to win, a new hat or feet wont cut it against the other entry.

 

Here's my try. Currently can't view Dane777's entry so I have no idea what the new top pick is. Roughly inspired by your reference but different enough so you won't get sued. Created by hand in Illustrator so anything can easily be changed. Love/hate the colors...let me know.

I like it, very nice illustrations. Frick seems a little dour, I like doofy, but can you cheer him up some.

Also, I'd just like to see the characters to the side of the Store Name, so it is more like a banner than a box. I like the colors. Maybe make the bubble text bold is all.

Without asking my wife her opinion yet, yours and Dante777 are tied for #1.

I like this one. These guys are cute and unique. Can you do some minor tweaks so I can make a final decision.

1. change "I am" to "I'm"
2. Make the bottom text bolder/thicker and give black border on that text. Also, lets make middle "N'" in black not gray.
3. Background of bubbles to be white.
4. All the text looks a little italics - I don't like that.
5. Bottom name "FRICK N' CHEAP" is in all caps.

(This is in my final 2)

 

I will pay the loser of the final 2 designs $5 for the effort if you do the changes and do not win, winner still gets $25.

Thanks for the effort guys. While I am satisfied with the submissions so far, the contest is still open (for 48 hours from my 1st post) and I would consider all entries... I just wanted to give feedback to everyone.

Sorry for the delay. I played with Frick's beak... I think he looks a bit cheerier, and the positions of the little dudes. Let me know what you think.
