    Hello,

I'm looking for for a web hosting company logo for the name "HostixPlanet" or "HostixPlanet.com" (it is to your discretion whether or not to include .com, for aesthetic purposes). You can go free on colouring, but be sure to provide a fully customizable PSD file in the end where colours and layering details may be easily changed, please do not flatten or rasterize and layers.

References to work I like (focus on the logos):
    http://www.smarterwebdesign.co.uk/images/biglogos/redkeybig.gif
    http://www.mediacrafts.co.in/logo.jpg
    http://www.pando.com/
    http://www.everyzing.com/

    What to provide:
    • A proper sized logo sample, please have the original PSD in a larger, scalable size for varied uses.
    • A dark background, and a light background version of the logo
    • Varied font versions if applicable
    • Source images for clipart and other images used in the logo

Notice that I like the web 2.0 styling, but not when too overly done. It should be simplistic, but not cheap. Professional, but attractive.

The contest winner will be decided after all furnished and revised works have been viewed and a final logo is chosen as the best of the bunch. Contest finalizes only when I am satisfied with the works, a winner is not guaranteed.

Prize is: $25 plus a mystery gift.

RNHalawi.com: A very nice planet design, but perhaps remove the bottom reflections for a more adaptable design which can be used on any background? Also, can you provide a dark background design as well?

CelaCG: The colours seem to be a tad bit childish or washed out. Possibly add more of a "fresh" sense to the design?

pzn: Very nice, perhaps tinker with the colours though? Red let's off as too strong and the yellow a bit weak.

weblazer: Your first logo is definitely the front-runner thus far. Could you provide the design on a darker background as well, to see how it can be adapted?

shortbus408: The general idea is nice, although it seems a bit too bland (I mentioned web 2.0, but something a bit more individual would be nice). Also, the black background version doesn't quite seem to blend well as the words nearly vanish.

Great submissions thus far, remember that the dark background version doesn't need to have black set, but a deep grey would suffice.

weblazer: Excellent work thus far, do you think you could play around and show several font examples?

pzn: You've definitely found the sweet spot with your black + grey and white + grey colouring. Could you perhaps play around with it further?

Dariks: The layering effects seem to be too "blockish" and the shadows are too strong. Also, the white bar across the text isn't quite my style. Please experiment further!

    ------
pzn and weblazer are currently in the lead, but still very open to new submissions and modifications! Maximize your creativity!
