I agree with you the first one look better and the placement on the second one is best. You made the logo a bit too big it will not fit perfect with the site as the menu will cover part of the logo.

wow these logos just keep getting better and better. I like it.

 

Resized it to fit where it should. I would like to darken the diamond a bit.

I also went with the spade through the diamon becuase you could also use it as your Favicon!
