    NOt a Good Plan, if you want to spent 5-10 K on 25 directories its not a good plan, instead you should invest all on one and i am sure your income will be more then 25. example i can give you is big web links .

    Mmm... I have to agree with most people here. Start 1 directory only, start small grow big.

    I know you know nothing about the directories biz, we've chat a few times :p, I know you are an awsome designer, probably one of the best in DP, but this is a totally different business.
    Starting 1 directory requires time and effort, as you know I officially have 2, and as you know as well I have at least another one standing there waiting for link building, age, PS, indexing, etc. before making it public.

    No1 profits from night to day. To start making 4 or 5k per month it will require you more than 1 year, or at least that you spend (well) your 20k promoting it.
    It's an easy maths if you ask me.

    10 quality sig links here on DP cost easily 3-4k per year, and those are only 10 sig links and only on DP...

    I am really not thinking its easy :)

    2 Directories, and 10 K. Because I and my partner will do most of work by ourself like submissions, template designing, signature links ;) etc.

    Wait guys for a new Alive/ Aviva directory... ;)

    You will be rocking dude...

    I think that such a network has a future and a market

    People will soon start moving away from blog networks and this would be a fine alternative..

    I also am starting a network of my own : 2 people managing the whole show and will see if i thought right
