$25 design contest - something a little different

Hey,

I have another design competition here, but something a little bit different. I'm working on a niche classified ads website, I have the logo etc already but I need the advert layout designing.

The niche is reptiles, its a UK based website. Here is a screenshot of the current layout (large image so I didn't display here): http://reptileads.co.uk/design/screenshot.jpg

You can see how ads displayed at the moment are displayed:



Now, heres where you guys come in I would like you to redesign the advert display. I'm looking for something thats roughly 850x250 or so. I have drawn up in paint what I would like the general layout to be. All the picture is is a very general outline of the positioning of things, you have complete free reign to design something around that (all border sizes, designs, colours, rounded edges, etc all up to you). Just make sure it fits the current layout (if possible include a screenshot of your design superimposed on the website) Here is the image of the layout:



The contest is for $25 which will be paid via paypal. The competition ends when I have something I'm happy with (probably a 3-4days).

Helo, here is my entry:

 

Really loving the current suggestions, you guys understood perfectly the layout etc that I was looking for. I'd ike to see more suggestions. Not too many comments yet as I'm looking for further ideas from people, but briefly:

bod - nice idea, not too keen on the black at the top. potential though

otto - really clean and nice, would like to see you experiment with text/border stuff. Lookin pretty good though

xia - Again looking good, very slick and clean. Not too keen on your button though, could you offer a couple of variations on the design as a whole?

Please note, the person will have to provide a .psd of the design thats suitable for being coded, I'll get a coder to incorporate your design when the comps over (unless you are a dab hand at coding too, in which case we can discuss via pm).

I really like your design otto, could you show a little variation on it? I'm not overkeen on the side/bottom borders on the box, can you show me a couple of other ideas? Currently my fave however

 

I'll have another look at it tomorrow (wednesday). Seems to have taken me the whole day today to take my computer to bits and upgrade its insides and I havn't got photoshop reinstalled yet.
